Sport Science Team train Marathon Des Sables athletes

Our Sport Science Consultancy Team  (Chris Howe, Ivan Vatolik and Dr Hannah March) have been busy helping athletes train for the grueling Marathon des Sables – including the world’s greatest living explorer, Sir Ranulph Fiennes.

The Team provided heat acclimation support to around 25 athletes heading out to the Sahara desert including Danny Kendall  (who hopes to improve on his 2014 position of 4th and break onto the podium) and this year’s female race winner Elisabet Barnes (who won 5 stages outright and finished 19th overall).
