The Faculty of Science, Engineering and Computing with other faculties at the University, recently held a successful postgraduate open evening to cater for people with busy schedules but wanted to find out more about their chosen field at postgraduate level and to gain an insight into industry developments.

After a welcome from the University’s Vice Chancellor, Julius Weinberg, visitors had the opportunity to talk to MSc Course Leaders and current postgraduate students as well as have a look around the campus and its facilities and find out about student funding, careers support, volunteering opportunities and accommodation.

“Open events are an excellent opportunity for people thinking about postgraduate study to access all the information they need in one place, as well as get a feel for Kingston and whether it’s the right University for them”, said Miroslav Novak, Director of Postgraduate Studies in the Faculty of SEC. “Our academic staff like the events too because it gives them the chance to meet prospective students face to face.”
Kingston University has invested in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) subject areas and offer a comprehensive range of over 40 MSc courses from Civil Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, Biomedical Science and Geographical Information Systems to Wireless Communications to Web Development.
