International Scholarships for taught MSc Students in the Faculty of Science, Engineering and Computing
Who can Apply?
Any international student applying for a taught full-time postgraduate MSc course in the Faculty of Science, Engineering and Computing with a confirmed offer of a place for the next academic intake (September or January).
MSc Scholarship Details
The Faculty of Science, Engineering and Computing is offering awards of £1,500 for its taught, full-time MSc courses.
Students selected to receive a scholarship award will act as an ambassador for Faculty promotional activities and events and have the opportunity to gain valuable teaching experience assisting with undergraduate classes for between four and six hours per week (for a maximum of 40 hours over the year and teaching times to be arranged to work around your MSc timetable and any other commitments you may have).
Selection Process
Selection is by application only and applicants must:
- Have a good academic record
- Provide a statement of 500 words explaining why they think they would make a good ambassador for the course and the faculty.
* Please note that applicants cannot be awarded more than one scholarship.
Submitting an Application
In order to apply for a scholarship, please complete and submit a SEC Scholarship Application Form.
The application must be typed.>
Application Deadlines
The deadlines for receiving your application for scholarships are:
- 31st July for September intake
- 30th November for January intake
Applications received after this deadline cannot be considered.
Loyalty Bursaries for home/EU taught MSc Students in the Faculty of Science, Engineering and Computing
Who can Apply?
Any student enrolled on a taught full-time postgraduate MSc course in the Faculty of Science, Engineering and Computing who is designated home/EU for fee-based purposes and:
- has graduated from an undergraduate course at Kingston University and has enrolled for a full-time postgraduate course within 5 years of completion of the first course.*
- has a close family member (spouse, sibling or parent) who has graduated from Kingston University in the last 5 years.*
OR
Submitting an Application
Loyalty bursaries are not automatically awarded. You will need to complete a bursary application form.
Application Deadlines
Complete the bursary application form and bring it to a scholarship document checking session
Bursary document checking sessions are held in February (for January starters) and October (for September starters). Dates for january 2012 entry are
- Wednesday 8 February 2012 4pm - 6pm and
- Wednesday 22 February 2012 4pm - 6pm
The final deadlines for receiving your application for scholarships are 1 November (for September starters) and 1 March (for January starters).
* Please note that applicants cannot be awarded more than one scholarship or bursary award.
