Kingston offers high quality undergraduate and postgraduate courses designed to reflect the developing needs of business and industry. The courses cover the range of modern computing technologies in Computer Science, Information Systems and Software Engineering, with specialisations in Games Technology, Network and Wireless technologies, Information Security, Electronic Business and Embedded Systems. The courses are delivered in an exciting and challenging environment for learning in modern, well-equipped teaching facilities.
We build and maintain strong links with industry through the taught programmes (especially via Industrial Placements), research collaborations and consultancy. Our courses are designed and regularly reviewed to ensure their currency and relevance to professional and industry needs, and are subject to accreditation by professional bodies such as the British Computer Society.
Research underpins the taught courses and spans a range of activities, including digital imaging, information systems, mobile and network technologies and ambient intelligence. These are applied across a variety of sectors including healthcare, transportation, electronic business and communications. Research is conducted within our Centre of Research Excellence - the Digital Information Research Centre (DIRC).
