Prof Dorothy Monekosso - Robot Vision Team (RoViT)

Biography

Dorothy Monekosso holds a PhD in Autonomous Systems with application Space, a Master's and Bachelor in electronic Engineering. She is currently Professor of Computer Science at Leeds Beckett University. Her areas of interests are Ambient Assisted Living (AAL), Intelligent Environments (including smart homes), and Assistive Robotics. Specifically she conducts research in sensor data analytics for human activity recognition, behaviour analysis and automated sensor failure detection. Prof Monekosso is the author of over 80 peer-reviewed publications in scientific journals and conferences and co-author of a monograph. She is also guest-editor of book collections published by Springer-Verlag in the field of ambient intelligence and Intelligent Paradigms in Security. She is currently Associate Editor of NEUROCOMPUTING, Guest Editor of IEEE Transactions of Human Machine Interactions, and IEEE Transactions of Intelligent Systems. Prof Monekosso has served on the organising committee and programme of several international conferences;
