Funded Projects
The Faculty continually offers great funding opportunities for research students and these will be advertised here whenever they are available.
In the past our students have received awards from a wide range of sources, including research councils and the EU, as well as from prestigious industry contacts such as GSK, Boots, Rangold and Siemens. Currently over half of our students are supported by awards from both industry, research councils and charities.
These opportunities will not only to help you finance your studies, but can be crucial in making connections with industry partners and will be vital to enhancing your CV.
If there are no opportunities available at the moment, or none that apply to your situation, please see ideas on How to Fund your Research, below.

How to Fund your Research
There are various ways you can fund your study aside from a studentship. The best place to start is with your selected Director of Studies or Head of School. They'll often be aware of some funding in your specific field that might be available for you.
Also, take a look at the Self-funding students pages from the University for help. They give some valuable advice about the trusts, charities and loans that could help you.
Lastly, there is a very useful Alternative Guide to Postgraduate Funding, which can be found by visiting Research Funding.
If you have any questions about the studentships advertised on this page, funding your research in general, or you are having difficulties finding finance for your studies please contact us at secresearch@kingston.ac.uk
