About

The Mobile Information and Network Technologies Research Centre conducts leading research on the application of mobile technologies to healthcare systems by addressing bio-information systems, network security, quality of service and location based services. Working in this innovative engineering environment, MINT aims to bring together Clinicians, Engineers, and Scientists at the forefront of information and communication technologies for medicine and solutions to perplexing health care problems.


The research focus of the centre is on new and evolving areas of:

  • m-health;
  • wireless multimedia systems;
  • bio-information systems;
  • network security; and
  • quality of service issues.

The centre works closely and is affiliated with St. Georges, University of London and their medical school and other NHS hospital trusts.
