About

Welcome to the Centre for Earth and Environmental Science Research. CEESR was established in 1999 and grew out of recognition of existing research strengths in Earth and Environmental Sciences, and the potential to develop new areas of interdisciplinary research across the University.

CEESR acts as a hub for researchers across the spectrum of geographical, earth and environmental sciences working in the UK and overseas. The projects undertaken by the Centre often involve collaborations with researchers from academia, government, industry and third sector organisations. Members of the School of Geography, Geology and the Environment form the nucleus of the Centre, with researchers from other fields actively involved. The Centre organises an Annual Lecture and Seminar Series.
