Information Management and Knowledge Sharing (IMKS)
IMKS has quickly established itself as the forum where information professionals of all kinds in the public sector organisations, including some leading thinkers, can network with one another and collaborate in getting the best out of their information assets . We identify best practice in information management, addressing the demands for service and the means to meet them.

About us
IMKS is a new forum for public sector organisations to network and collaborate in getting the best out of their information assets and identifying best practice in information management, addressing the demands for service and the means to meet them.
A network of professionals
Recognising the need to bring a professional approach to Information Management and Knowledge Sharing (IMKS), in 2009 we set up the IMKS Forum.
Designed specifically for the public and voluntary sectors, the IMKS Forum is where a wide range of practitioners debate current issues at regular meetings, through its own active Linked-In group. The participation of specialists in information, planning, records management and governance from local authorities, central government, agencies and not-for-profit organizations ensures lively debate and cross-fertilization of ideas and best practice.
Is this course for you?
This is a professional development course, ideal for:
- organisations that want to train staff for key roles within local authorities, government departments and agencies and other public sector bodies and not-for-profit/voluntary organisations
- Individuals who want to enhance their current skills and advance their careers in this area: information officers, technicians, librarians or records managers, for example.
