Who: Mark Fielder, Professor of Medical Microbiology, School of Life Science – Kingston University.
What: ” Vaccines – do we need them as infectious disease is under control!”
Professor Fielder will be exploring the history of vaccination, important developments in the field and why we do it . Essentially he’ll be discussing vaccination from the work of Jenner right through to the modern day.
Subjects up for discussion include the pros and cons of vaccination, controversial issues, what the world would be like without vaccination………and of course anything else that comes up.

The evening is designed to appeal to anyone with an interest in science and takes place in surroundings where anyone can feel comfortable asking a question. So, invite your friends, family and anyone else that springs to mind.
