Pfizer prize for Kingston student

Miss Blerina Ahmetaj, a PhD student in the School of Pharmacy and Chemistry, has been awarded the Pfizer prize for a presentation given at the International Royal Physiological Society in Edinburgh.

Blerina’s presentation was selected from 109 other oral presentations given by PhD students and post-docs over the three day event.

She said of the award “I think this highlights the excellent quality of research that is being carried out in our university, a community which I feel very proud to be a part of”.
