Tribunal Appeal Set for Councillor Posting YouTube Meeting Clips

A complaint was lodged against a Green Party councillor for Brighton & Hove Council for posting clips from publicly available videos of council meetings on YouTube, leading to his suspension.

The Tribunals Service for Local Government Standards in England supported the councillor’s claim that he had grounds for appeal and halted his suspension and any further sanctions. A further hearing is now planned for October.
