Information for non-UK/EU Candidates
Short-course admissions requirements
The short courses offered are modules taught within existing Master's programmes. They are offered to help working professionals continue their professional development - therefore it is more important that a short course candidate has relevant work experience rather than an academic background.
Upon making your initial enquiry, it would be helpful if you provided brief details on your background and work experience.
Application documents
Along with the application form, you are required to provide the following:
- Full payment of the course
- Copy of an English Language Proficiency Test (e.g. TOEFL or IELTS)
- A good copy of the personal details page from your passport (the page with your photograph)
- A copy of your student or work visa (if applicable)
- A passport-sized photograph.
Visa support letter
If you require a visa support letter, this can only be sent to you after we have received your application and full payment has been processed. If, for some reason, your visa is refused, we will refund you in full, minus an administrative fee, upon receiving evidence of said refusal.
Accommodation
We are sorry, but on-campus accommodation is not available for short course students - however, if you require a list of local hotels and guesthouses, please contact the short course unit on 020 8417 7488.
Assessments and Examinations
If you attend a short course as credit-bearing, you will need to submit and pass all relevant assignments and examinations. The examination for the course may not take place immediately after the course has ended, so you must ensure your visa covers you for the period required to undertake the examination.
Please also note that successfully completing a credit-bearing short course will result in you receiving academic credits, not a formal qualification.
