Aircraft Maintenance Management

Course Aims

The purpose of this module is to develop a broad understanding of the role of the manager in aircraft maintenance activities

Learning Outcomes

On successful completion of the module, students will be able to:

  • Critically analyse management structures used in aircraft maintenance organisations
  • Evaluate proposed maintenance error management systems (MEMS)
  • Assess techniques for resource management within a maintenance organisation
  • Critically analyse maintenance planning and control systems
  • Critically evaluate safety management systems within aircraft maintenance organisations
  • Compare alternative methods of ensuring regulatory compliance within aircraft maintenance organisation
