At Kingston we do everything we can to make sure you get all the graduate-specific support you need. The Faculty support includes:
SEC Student Office - this will be your first point of contact for most day-to-day queries during your time at Kingston University.
Module leaders and course directors - all have regular office hours so you can drop in to talk to them about your studies.
Academic Skills Centres - provide extra help with your assignments. The SEC Academic Success Centre (SASC) is available to help you with your academic skills such as report writing, presentations, time management, exam revision and referencing.
Student Support Team - run drop-in sessions at both the Penrhyn Road and Roehampton Vale campuses and provide confidential advice about problems affecting your studies. We also have a dedicated Disability Support Officer within the Student Support Team that you can contact with questions about provisions for your disability.
Maths and JavaAid - offers extra help for students on courses with a mathematical, statistical or programming component.
English language help for all students - our English language development programme offers free English language courses throughout the academic year. These focus on academic writing, communication and seminar skills, study skills and project work, and revision and exam techniques.
If you are an international student, for help before you arrive, you can take one of our pre-sessional language courses which are specifically designed to prepare you for study at Kingston. The courses will not only develop your English language skills, but also give you experience of the methods and study skills used at a British university. The length of the course will depend on your current English language level.
