Civil Engineering and Construction
The School of Civil Engineering and Construction offers a broad range of courses with a great emphasis placed on providing students with a strong foundation for their careers and an enhanced learning experience. We have built a reputation for the quality of our undergraduate and postgraduate courses in civil engineering and construction programmes and have successfully embedded the concept of sustainable development in all of our degree courses.
The academic staff in the school have a diverse range of research interests from sustainable construction, geotechnical engineering, structural engineering, hydraulic engineering through to professional practice and construction management. Many of our academics are recognised leaders in their specialist areas and are frequently invited to undertake high profile research and consultancy work.
