Dr Yujing Lin
School/Department: Aerospace and Aircraft Engineering
Position: Senior Lecturer In Aerospace Engineering
Dr Yujing Lin was appointed as a Senior Lecturer in Aerospace Engineering at Kingston University in 2015. Prior to joining Kingston, she worked in Cranfield University (2011-2015), Queen's University Belfast (2007-2010) and City University London (2002-2004) as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow, respectively. She had been working on EPSRC, TSB, and EU projects on numerical modelling and computational simulation (CFD) on aerodynamics and fluid dynamics in Aerospace and Automotive Engineering. Particularly, she is interested in advanced turbulence modelling methodologies and their applications of engineering practice, such as LES, ILES, LES/RANS and DES; the hybrid computational fluid dynamics (CFD)/computational aeroacoustics (CAA) methods for aeroengine and airframe noise prediction and reduction; and aircraft drag reduction technology by boundary layer flow control over airframe body.
Dr Lin obtained her PhD degree in National Engine Combustion Laboratory, Tianjin University, China and her first and MSc degree in Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT), China.
