Dr James Lambert-Smith

School/Department: Natural & Built Environments
Position: Lecturer Applied Geoscience

Educational and Professional Qualifications

  • 2014 - present Lecturer in Applied Geoscience (Kingston University London)
  • 2010 - 2014 PhD (Kingston University London and Randgold Resources)
  • 2005 - 2009 MGeol (University of Southampton)

Research Interests

Ore deposit genesis, with a focus on orogenic gold in the Birimian of West Africa. My research utilizes stable isotope geochemistry (O, C, S and B) and fluid inclusion analysis to determine the physiochemical properties and origins of auriferous hydorthermal fluids in orogenic style deposits.
