Biography

BE(Civil), MSc (Struct), PhD, CEng, FICE, FIMMM, FIMS

Chartered Engineer, Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers, the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining and the International Masonry Society, with a particular expertise in Sustainability and an experienced Researcher and Lecturer in Civil Engineering, Construction Materials and Management, and keen interest in Infrastructure Development for Modern Built Environment.

Over the last 20+ years I have contributed to the advancement of design, education, training, and led and manage research, as well as technology transfer projects in areas of Civil and Structural Engineering, including sustainable construction, cement science, concrete technology, waste material recycling for reuse, structural repair and maintenance, energy and environmental sustainability.

Concrete & Masonry Technology - Construction, Sustainable Construction and Recycling / Reuse of Waste Materials; Use of Euro-Cements in the UK Construction Industry, Innovations in Concrete Construction Applications, Risk Assessment and Whole Life Cost Analysis.
